In April 2004, we publicly endorsed the Global Compact. This initiative, fostered by the United Nations, calls for companies to embrace ten principles derived from world declarations, which enjoy universal consensus and are derived from: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), The Rio Declaration on Environment and Development (1992) and The International Labor Organization's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work (1998).
