Technology and Operations

Since our beginnings, we have striven to enhance and update our technology for the purpose of increasing the reliability of our transportation system operation service. The adoption of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) constituted a strategic decision, as it guaranteed the greatest possible degree of normalization and flexibility available, and allowed us to improve the integration of this System to the remaining corporate infrastructure.

The implementation of these technologies minimizes the complexity and costs associated to the development and maintenance of interfaces among the different Systems we operate.

Both safety and reliability in the conduction of our operations have always been key priorities to us. Through the investment and maintenance programs we have conducted since our very beginnings, our service has been expanded and enhanced.

Our transportation system is 8.627 km long and has an installed power of 608.900 HP, distributed in 30 compressor plants. The pipeline network connects the Southern and Western gas reserves of our country to the main consumption centers of those areas, including Greater Buenos Aires, and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, the principal natural gas consumption centers of Argentina.

Thanks to the implementation of investment and maintenance programs and to the optimum technical conditions of our pipelines, we have been able to meet the ever-increasing demand for gas, which has shown a steady rise since 2002.
