Due to its strategic location within the Argentine natural gas transportation system, our Cerri Plant can process gas proceeding from Neuquen (pipelines Neuba I and II), San Jorge Gulf and Austral basins (San Martin Pipeline). This provides the plant with great versatility in terms of natural gas availability, and the possibility to select the gas that is processed according to its quality (liquid contents).
Through its three cryogenic and two absorption trains, our Cerri plant separates CO2, ethane, propane, butane and natural gasoline. These products are stored in Puerto Galvan and commercialized both in the local and exports markets.
The dispatch of products to the local market is conducted by means of poliducts and trucks, while dispatch to the exports market is carried out via tanker vessels.
Products obtained at the Cerri plant may be owned by TGS or by third parties who contract either the processing service or both the processing and commercialization services.
TGS leads the market in the supply of logistic services within the Petrochemical Pole, being able to store, receive and dispatch products either by land or by sea.
This positioning derives from three key factors:
- 1. A privileged location, with access to Puerto Galvan Terminals 1 and 2.
- 2. The availability of loading facilities for trucks and poliducts, which facilitates operations among the plants of the Petrochemical Pole.
- 3. The availability of storage facilities for refrigerated or pressurized products.
