tgs has finished the works required to transport Vaca Muerta´s gas to the whole country

In record time, TGS has finished the works that started 15 months ago in Vaca Muerta: the construction of a 150-km pipeline and a conditioning plant, which will allow the gathering of non-conventional gas from the Neuquen basin and its subsequent injection into the main gas pipeline systems, ensuring its supply to all our country’s regions.

We have finished the works that consolidate us as the First Midstreamer in Vaca Muerta: the construction of a pipeline and a conditioning plant in Tratayén, Province of Neuquén. These works are critical for the evacuation of the gas produced in Vaca Muerta.

The 150-km pipeline—going through 30 of the formation’s productive areas— will allow the transportation of up to 60 MMm3/d, which will be conditioned at the plant built in Tratayén, before being injected into the regulated transportation systems. Said Plant’s initial conditioning capacity is of 5 MMm3/d, but in the future —as reserves are being developed— said capacity will be expanded through the installation of modules.

TGS has already closed agreements related to the transportation of gas from seven different productive areas and is in talks with producers to add new blocks and even extend the pipeline.

"The culmination of these works is a great source of pride for our entire TGS’ team as —having the project been conceived in 2016— works started as early as in October 2018. This achievement is the fruit of the efforts of over 1000 people, including suppliers, contractors and SMEs. I wish to underscore the trust our shareholders have placed in us and the unwavering support we have received from the related labor unions and Neuquén’s Provincial Government ", stated Eng. Oscar Sardi, CEO of TGS.

It should be noted that Vaca Muerta is a risk project, since it has involved the investment of US$ 300 million— focused on a long-term vision— with the aim of offering producers an integral gas transportation solution based on our efficiency in the construction of large-scale gas gathering infrastructures.
