Our projects

Committed to the leading role of TGS in the economic growth of our country, we seek to increase our involvement in innovating projects.

Vaca Muerta

Consolidating our strong commitment to the energetic growth of our country, we are developing the infrastructure work required for the conditioning of the natural gas production in the Vaca Muerta field, to then transport and enter it to the main transportation systems.

In the first stage, investment is estimated to reach U$S 300 million between the years 2018 and 2019 and its related works include:

The building of a gathering pipeline up to the link with the main systems at Tratayén, with the following characteristics:

148 Kms of pipeline with a 36” diameter

60 MMm³/day of transportation capacity

97Kg/Cm² of pressure

The building of a conditioning plant at Tratayén, which will adapt the natural gas quality before it enters into the main pipeline system, with an initial capacity of 5 MMm³/day.

Looking ahead to the progressive development of the natural gas reserves of Vaca Muerta and other areas of the Neuquen basin, we are already planning future stages of the project, which will imply the expansion of both the gathering pipeline and the conditioning plant.

Thus, we have already moved forward with the Litoral Pipeline Project, which will ensure the essential infrastructure towards the development of Vaca Muerta. The building of this pipeline will promote the development of the market in industries and power plants, will supply the GNEA -Argentine north east- with local gas, will generate petrochemical projects and will lead to natural gas and LNG exports. On the other hand, we are assessing a liquefaction Project in Bahía Blanca, to generate demand in the summer season and allow an efficient exploitation of non-conventional resources.
