TGS is expanding its Vaca Muerta Norte pipeline

The integrated services company will begin work to extend the Vaca Muerta Norte Pipeline by 32 km, from the Los Toldos I Sur area to El Trapial, operated by Chevron, consolidating a 182 km gathering pipeline network in the region.

TGS continues to expand its midstream operations in Vaca Muerta, where it operates in the Tratayén area with its gas conditioning plant, built in 2018, alongside the Vaca Muerta Norte and Sur pipelines and other facilities that provide services to gas producers.

The works, set to begin in August with an investment of USD 60 million, will expand the number of production areas the TGS pipeline crosses, enabling the injection of more Vaca Muerta gas into regulated transportation systems.

It is worth noting that this year, TGS doubled its capacity for condensate reception and natural gasoline stabilization at the Tratayén Plant. The company plans to continue expansions in 2023 and 2024 to support the ongoing development of the basin.

“We are very proud to continue expanding TGS’s operations in Vaca Muerta, reaffirming that the investments made have promoted efficient solutions for gas producers by addressing the transportation and conditioning of production, while adding value to natural gas.”
