TGS REPAIRED THE CORDILLERANO PIPELINE RUPTURE IN RECORD TIME

On July 27, 2019 a rupture was generated in the Cordillerano pipeline by an unidentified loading road machine —not related to the Company— that was conducting tasks in the area. The incident did not result in any victims or injured parties.

TGS immediately rallied its own staff and equipment to conduct the pipeline’s repair, which was carried out in 14 hours, four hours less than the 18 hours estimated in the early diagnosis.

Meanwhile, TGS also implemented actions to minimize the incident’s impact on natural gas deliveries to the corresponding distribution company and made an assessment of the impact that this incident may have had.

To ensure the best coordinated response during the incident, TGS kept permanently in touch with municipal and provincial authorities, the ENARGAS, the Provincial Police Force, Civil Defense Forces and the Voluntary Fire Brigade.
